Each game has its own level and they adjust separately. Progress saves on this iPad after every answer, so he picks up at the same question next time. How it adjusts: after 4 of the last 5 questions are right on the first go (or 3 quick ones in a row), it moves up a level. After 2 misses in the last 3, it eases back down. About 1 in 5 questions is a confidence builder from the level below. Using "Count with me" counts as half a win.
